LOS ANGELES – March 15, 2010 – Lady Gaga, one of the most exciting and innovative new artists in recent history, has announced her highly anticipated return to North America on the heels of her sold-out European tour. The 2010 North American leg of The Monster Ball Tour, presented by Virgin Mobile, will begin on June 28th at Montreal’s Bell Centre, taking her spectacular show to 31 top arenas and a host of new cities in the U.S. and Canada throughout the summer and fall.

In keeping with Lady Gaga’s flair for the theatrical, as well as her innovative and creative spirit, the second leg of the tour promises to push the limits of the live concert experience, bringing fans a spectacle even more eye-popping than what they experienced during the thrilling first leg of The Monster Ball.

“It’s still called Monster Ball, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert,” Lady Gaga said in a February interview with KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest. “It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost.”

Critics around the world raved about the first leg of The Monster Ball Tour, which Gaga described as “the first-ever pop-electro opera.” The Sun called it “breathtaking stuff” and “the best live show you will see this year,” while London’s Independent wrote: “Gaga’s got it, which is why, right now, the whole pop world wants to take a ride on her disco stick.”  Writing about her show at Radio City Music Hall, the New York Times noted that “her Monster Ball tour always provided something worth a snapshot: a sci-fi tableau, perhaps, or a skimpy, glittery costume. The more her image gets around, the better Lady Gaga does.”

Lady Gaga is touring in support of The Fame Monster, which was released on November 23rd, 2009, by Streamline/Konlive/Cherrytree/Interscope. The album is the follow-up to 2008′s Grammy Award-winning album The Fame, which spawned the No. 1 singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face.” Combined, The Fame and The Fame Monster have sold 10 million albums worldwide, while Lady Gaga’s five singles, “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Lovegame,” “Paparazzi,” and “Bad Romance,” have sold in excess of 30 million copies total. After canceling a pair Connecticut dates in January, Lady Gaga is giving us another shot with a show in September 16th  which will be held on XL center. Growing up with Stevie Wonder and Usher, among others, Bieber hails from Stratford, Ontario and only began singing three years ago. He was discovered on YouTube by manager Scooter Braun, a former So So Def marketing executive, after Bieber began posting homemade videos from his 2007 second-place contestant stint on a local singing competition. A chance meeting with Usher led to an audition and later to a recording contract offered last October by Island Def Jam chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid..

Music stars making the transition to the big screen is nothing new.  From Frank Sinatra to Elvis to Madonna it’s part of the natural progression if a singer is going to transition into an icon.  It’s extremely rare, however, for such artist to star as himself in a movie based on his own life.  That fate now awaits Justin Bieber and in 3-D no less.  Cue the screams of millions of teenage girls across the globe.

Justin is just 16. Since his YouTube discovery Justin has surprised everyone. He’s currently in the middle of his “My World Tour.” Come see this new sensation.

The band have not revealed the length of their run, but it is expected to rival the 21-date string of shows which Prince played in 2007.

AEG Live promoter Rob Hallett said: “Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world. This one could run and run.”

The Grammy-award winning band, one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008, will perform 135 shows in 30 countries starting in Seattle in February

2010.

The tour includes a “residency” in June 2010 at the O2 arena in London, following a trend blazed by Prince who played 21 nights at the O2 in 2007 and the

planned run of 50 concerts by Michael Jackson before his sudden death in June. Bon Jovi is expected to play at least five dates in London.

The band, led by Jon Bon Jovi, have sold 120 million albums around the world and performed more than 2,600 concerts.

Michael Jackson had been due to play a record-breaking run of 50 dates at the south east London venue, starting this summer, but died just days before the

shows were due to begin.

Other acts have since announced concerts there, including a planned Christmas gig by Sir Paul McCartney, but Bon Jovi are the first to secure a residency.

The O2 gigs will be their only European dates of 2010.

Whoever he is to you, William Shatner reaffirmed that he is one classy guy when he joined crooner Brian Evans at The Hard Rock Café on Maui, Hawaii for the first “Maui Celebrity Series,” being produced by Evans, Arman Zajic, and Andrew Biltz. Evans opens for various stars ranging from Jay Leno to Joan Rivers, and convinced many of his friends to appear at the monthly series.

“It wasn’t hard to convince them,” says Evans. “It’s Maui, the most beautiful place on the planet,” says Evans. “The stars and The Hard Rock are trying to bring attention to the island again since tourism has been down due to the economy, and these stars recognize that without Hawaii, many of them wouldn’t have the careers they have today.”

The press it has generated has been beyond what was anticipated.

“Brian is working on his own major label debut, and decided to put this together with the help of some friends,” says co-producer Arman Zajic.

Evans wanted Shatner first, according to Zajic. “The concept is simple… about 300 people who live or visit Maui can see a major star perform with an upcoming one, Brian Evans, every month,” says Zajic. “Brian has always admired William Shatner. They have performed together in the past, and Brian wanted him again for Maui and Bill (William) said yes.”

“For me, William Shatner has always been a hero of mine. People were calling the venue asking what he was going to be doing at the show, and I just explained that it’s not about what he was going to do, but about what he’s already done,” says Evans. “He’s a worldwide icon, and this was a moment for people to see the show, and meet Bill Shatner, where he autographed books and talked to the crowd one on one,” Evans says.

Evans originates from Haverhill, Massachusetts, and is the creator of a new comic book series entitled “Horrorscope,” being created for Zenescope Entertainment, the force behind the “Final Destination” and “Seven” comics, also major motion pictures. Evans is also recording his major label debut, being produced by Chris Walden, whose latest work was on Barbra Streisand’s latest CD. Evans wrote most of the CD, though it will feature a duet with Kelly Osbourne.

“If it weren’t for Royal Lahaina Resort, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, or Hawaiian Airlines, we’d of had a tough time doing this,” says Evans. “They really helped make this a reality, and The Hard Rock has been extremely supportive even when the numbers didn’t make sense because they understand the long term goal,” Evans says. “It has been a long time since a star of the caliber of Roseanne has played a 300 seat venue.”

The next show for The Maui Celebrity Series will be on January 15th, 2010 when Brian Evans and Roseanne Barr appear in concert. Barr will perform an entire show. “We intend to go after everyone from Elton John to Paul McCartney,” says Zajic. “Hawaii has been an important place for them all.”

Evans performs a solo concert at Harrah’s Laughlin on Valentine’s Day.

My husband ordered the tickets and off I was with the kids.  My daughter was nice enough to drive, I bought a couple of Beatles cd’s and we listened to the Beatles music all the way to Maryland where Paul would be playing at the Redskin Fed Ex Stadium.  My family and I battled the traffic, got to the motel, got dressed and patiently made it through more traffic to see our concert.

The stadium was beautiful  (I am a big Redskin fan), all decorated in Redskin colors so I really felt at home.  The stadium quickly filled with wall to wall Paul McCartney fans of all ages.  The moment that I had anticipated finally came and Paul came onto the stage speaking person ably to the enormous crowd as if he knew each and every one of us.  I had to remind myself that this kind hearted bigger than life entertainer was a Beatle because he was so humble and wonderful.  He sang song after song sometimes incorporating a little story like one about a song he wrote after John Lennon passed.

Paul McCartney put in a mixture of songs of his time with the Beatles, songs from the group Wings, and songs from a new CD that is coming out.  The band was excellent and I loved the way Paul changed instruments throughout the show.  The light show was superb when Paul sang “Live and Let Die” my kids and I were in awe.  Paul sang “My Love”, another favorite of mine which he wrote for the love of his life, his first wife, Linda.  Paul came out for two encores and sang several  more of my favorites.

They say you can’t go back in time but this concert did bring me back to our little house in Canada where my sister and I sat in front of a black and white television set with our parents anxiously the performance of the best band ever,  “The Beatles.”
