Lollapalooza festival organizers announced the 2010 lineup on April 6, revealing that Lady Gaga will perform at weeklong Chicago event while on her Monster’s Ball Tour. The 2010 edition of Lollapalooza will take place at Chi Town’s Grant Park Aug. 6-8 and will see Lady Gaga headlining along with Green Day, Arcade Fire, Phoenix, the Strokes and a reunited Soundgarden. Other DJs, bands and artists on the 2010 Lollapalooza bill include Yeasayer, Spoon, the National, Wolfmother, Erykah Badu, Devo, Cut Copy, the New Pornographers, Chromeo, X Japan, Felix da Housecat, Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell and more.

Lady Gaga is currently touring abroad—making stops in Australia, Japan, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the U.K. through early June—but will return to North America beginning with a June 28 show in Montreal. No stranger to controversy, Lady Gaga is encountering a media storm over her latest single, “Alejandro.” Monsters and Critics reports that Gaga’s label wanted “Dance in the Dark” to be her next single, but she chose “Alejandro” instead. The third clip off her Fame Monster album is the follow-up to her elaborate duet with Beyonce, “Telephone,” which received ample attention in the press. According to MTV News, Gaga spoke with radio station Nova 96.9 FM while on tour Down Under in late March and gushed, “I’m so excited about the ‘Alejandro’ video. Actually, we’re shooting it very soon and I don’t want to say who the director is yet because it’s going to give a lot away.” Although Gaga remained tight-lipped on the video, she did reveal, “But I will tell you it’s not the sequel to the ‘Telephone’ video.”

The controversial video for “Telephone” premiered in early March, and Gaga’s collaboration with Beyonce quickly soared to the top of Billboard’s Pop Sings Chart upon its release (becoming both artists’ sixth No. 1 single). In the wake of the song and corresponding video’s success, Gaga tweeted, “‘Telephone’ made history today little monsters!” using the nickname she has bestowed upon her fans, “Thank you for all your support of the video, you are the future, you are the kings and queens.” “Telephone” isn’t the first time Beyonce and Lady Gaga have joined forces, as the latter previously made a cameo in Beyonce’s “Video Phone” clip.

According to a report by Gig Wise, Sir Elton John wants to follow in Beyonce’s footsteps by recording a duet with Lady Gaga in the future. The pair performed a duet at the Grammy Awards back in February, and Sir Elton is quoted as telling People Magazine that he is “really pleased” that Lady Gaga is being considered to record the theme song for the next James Bond film and hopes they can record a duet in the future. Canadian crooner Michael Buble is also rumored to be up for consideration to pen a theme for the film, which will once again feature Daniel Craig in the title role.

It isn’t like Lady Gaga is starving for attention, but the eccentric pop songstress continues to take outlandish steps to keep everyone on their toes. The latest Gaga blip comes as news spreads that she’s hired fashion photographer Steven Klein to direct her latest music video. The “Alejandro” shoot will take an avant-garde approach to both fashion and music, debunking rumors from March that it would be a continuation of her Beyonce collaboration in “Telephone.”

Even without a video, “Alejandro” is getting major YouTube time thanks to her recent American Idol performance, which showcased her dancing skills but also her knack for drama. Gaga took to her Twitter page following the show after Idol cut off about a minute and a half from the performance; While the dramatic interpretative dance still lasted five minutes, Gaga was not happy, writing, “FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited + cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol [sic].” Still, Gaga managed to rock the house during the Thursday performance and the cut didn’t keep fans from buying Lady Gaga tickets from http://www.stubhub.com.

The new “Alejandro” video, as Gaga explains, will represent her lifestyle in a way only Klein can represent. The fashion director who has previously worked with Madonna understands “I am what I wear,” she said in a press statement. The 2010 North American Monster Ball Tour doesn’t get underway until June 28, opening in Montreal, but Lady Gaga already has plans to extend her sold-out road trip into 2011. Billboard.com reports that on May 10, tour promoter Live Nation announced that Lady Gaga will return to the road in 2011 with a string of arena dates beginning in February 2011. So far, Lady Gaga has 10 arena dates lined up for next year, starting with a Feb. 19 gig in Atlantic City, N.J. and running through April 18. Additional dates for the trek, which will also feature 2010 tour opener Semi Precious Weapons, are expected to be announced in the future.

Lady Gaga’s 2009-10 North American tour was also called the Monster Ball, but back in February Gaga told KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest that her upcoming tour will feature beefed up production to accommodate larger venues. “It’s still called Monster Ball, but it’s more of a musical and less of a concert. It has a New York theme, it’s a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we’re going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost,” Gaga told Seacrest. Her theatrical tour will make stops in New York, N.Y.; Toronto, ON; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Ariz.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Portland, Ore. and more. According to the Los Angeles Times, Lady Gaga’s “little monsters” are in outrage with American Idol over Gaga’s edited performance of her new single “Alejandro.” Rather than broadcast Lady Gaga’s entire six-and-a-half minutes performance, which transitioned into “Bad Romance,” the hit Fox reality show edited parts of the performance to reportedly tone things down for primetime viewers, prompting petitioners to ask, “Would you take a $250,000 painting, cut it in pieces, and put it together to better fit your wall?” Lady Gaga also disapproved of the editing, tweeting, “FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited + cut my performance/musical arrangement on Idol.”

Bon Jovi to play London residency at the O2 Arena | Buy Bon Jovi Concert Tickets Uk Arena 2010 Tour

Rockers Bon Jovi on Thursday announced a world tour of almost two years to promote their 11th studio album “The Circle”.

The band have not revealed the length of their run, but it is expected to rival the 21-date string of shows which Prince played in 2007.

AEG Live promoter Rob Hallett said: “Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world. This one could run and run.”

The Grammy-award winning band, one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008, will perform 135 shows in 30 countries starting in Seattle in February

2010.

The tour includes a “residency” in June 2010 at the O2 arena in London, following a trend blazed by Prince who played 21 nights at the O2 in 2007 and the

planned run of 50 concerts by Michael Jackson before his sudden death in June. Bon Jovi is expected to play at least five dates in London.

The band, led by Jon Bon Jovi, have sold 120 million albums around the world and performed more than 2,600 concerts.

Michael Jackson had been due to play a record-breaking run of 50 dates at the south east London venue, starting this summer, but died just days before the

shows were due to begin.

Other acts have since announced concerts there, including a planned Christmas gig by Sir Paul McCartney, but Bon Jovi are the first to secure a residency.

The O2 gigs will be their only European dates of 2010.

In Bandhavgarh, tiger sighting is very organized. Local guides, armed with walkie-talkies, assist visitors in tracking elusive tigers; if a tiger is spotted, the word spreads, bringing tourist-packed jeeps inside the park. We found ourselves to be the fifth vehicle in line and jeeps were piling up behind us all the time. Two elephants were constantly ferrying tourists to ‘the spot’. After 15 minutes, we were put upon an elephant and taken to where we could see the tigress.

She lay asleep on a shaded spot when our elephant found her, full-bellied after eating from the clutch of bones, all that remained of a chital kill. She seemed exhausted by the strain of caring for her litter of cubs, whose mewing I could just make out from still higher up the slope. We were just 20-odd feet from the tigress, close enough to hear her steady, deep breathing. Over the next half hour, three more elephants bearing tourists came and went. Cameras clicked. But the tigress slept on, oblivious. After some time, our guide urged the elephant towards a little stream that twists along the base of the hills. He splashed across the narrow stream, then along the bottom of the hillside, slowly trudging back to our jeep. The sun was sinking now, the forest silent. I asked our guide if the tigers ever reacted to the tourists. “Most tigers in this region have been habituated to human presence,” he informed me. Amen.

Bandhavgarh National Park was the former hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Rewa and at present is a famous natural hub for White Tigers. White Tigers, now a major attraction around the world’s zoos, were first discovered in Rewa, not far from here. The terrain is broken, with rocky hill ranges, running roughly east west, interspersed with grassy swamps and forested valleys.

Also known as White tiger country, prior to becoming a national park, the forests around Bandhavgarh, have long been maintained as a Shikargarh or game preserve of the Maharajas of Rewa. The maharajas and their guests carried out hunting, as it was considered a good omen for a Maharaja of Rewa to shoot 109 tigers. In 1947, when the state of Rewa, was merged with Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh came under its regulations. But the Maharajah of Rewa, still retains the hunting rights.
